Yes, I'm going to try and keep up with the Inktober thingy. I didn't get  a chance to post yesterday, so here's the first one!

Danica it!

And here's the shot of Danica Patrick I did for that same cover to Sonic Universe #45. What an odd addition to the roster. Its tough to pare down a real person's features and make them fit in with a bunch of cartoon characters.  I also didn't have reference for her car from the game, so I had to just put here in her Nascar racer. Lame.

Beat it!

Here are the inks for a pic of Beat as he appeared in Sonic Universe #45, which was the adaptation of the Sonic Racing Transformed game. The finished art was just a tiny thing at the top corner of the cover.

Evolution of a Comic Book Cover

When doing a cover, I always start with several thumbnail sketches, showing several different ideas. This one happened to have 7, which is more than usual.
