A Mortasheen OC Commission

I don't generally leave commissions open because I work SO slowly at things for other people (and slow enough for my own things), even just this one took me almost two weeks of fretting and it's still a pretty simple drawing for me!

However someone really wanted to pay to realize their original Mortasheen character and I followed the description as exact as I could (they were happy!)

I think I'm close to one that I like here, at the top. I wasn't sure if I wanted this monster to have sockets for its eyes or not, but putting them on the back of its head seems like a perfect compromise and even more quirky.

Mortasheen: Sightseed

I like some of how this turned out, and feel dissatisfied about other aspects....but this monster is the culmination of rough ideas I've had for some four years or more. At one point, it was a colony of both eyes and slime. At another, each pod had a humanoid body attached. It was even almost just a single pod, once!

I thought I'd try more minimal shading and highlighting this time, I think it often looks a lot nicer really...

Blood Fluke Diagram

I was actually commissioned to illustrate the effects of a drug for a scientific paper! The drug seizes up the body of a blood fluke, causing it to release its grip and curl into a small ball, but it has the same effect on the surrounding human tissue, which means the blood vessel tightens, increasing blood pressure and flushing the parasite away!
