They whole idea spawned from the dumb back-up stories in 60βs issues of Tales to Astonish , where Janet Van Dyne/the Wasp is relating a tale to the reader, and in the end we find that sheβs actually talking to Hank Pym/Ant-man, who is busy and annoyed with her interruptions. She then ends the strip with much the same sentiment Mitch voices here! It only lasted for a handful of issues, but it struck me as funny, and I felt it was the sort of thing that inspired similar shorts in others comix, like the Hernandez Brothers.
Anyway, on to the next thing, which is Loose, part 2.
