Yes I really wanted to draw her with lots of colors in the bg as sheโs on stage, so I thought this would suit the best โบ๏ธ I saw so many fan art of her with just a white bg I wanted to do something else! Also been practicing this approach more so I hope it looks good ๐ฅบ itโs not really harder, but it does take a little more time because you have to add the lighting first

Your hours of hard work to color Mitsuki come through and she looks awesome, especially for her hair. ๐ฅฐ I find it particularly interesting that you decided to go for a backlit situation, albeit with different color lighting, similar to what you did in the Josephine illustration that you did for me. Out of curiosity, do you find the difficulty of an illustration changes based upon how the light source is positioned?
