Tough week here in LA as we dealt with temperatures of 106 and 107 the last few days. I know my Arizona and Texas patrons are shaking their heads at my frailty but the heat from two rendering machines going full blast adds a few degrees!
Post-worked still render count is about 1,650. Still a long ways to go before the episode is finished.

Death valley has the hottest temperature 56.7 ยฐC (134.1 ยฐF), ever recorded on 10 July 1913 both on the ground and in the air. If you cannot believe a temperature measured in 2013 there is also the fact that on July 9, 2021 the temperature was again measured at 130ยฐ degrees Fahrenheit (54.4ยฐC) in Death Valley. The hottest temp on earth for the second year in a row!

2024-09-08 15:21:05 +0000 UTCThat is 41ยฐC to 41.6ยฐC for the rest of the world ๐. I will not complain about my 93ยฐ (33.8ยฐC). This is also the hottest summer ever in Death Valley. 48.9ยฐC nearly every day and nine straight days over 51.6ยฐC.
