Upcoming changes to my Patreon

Hello friends!

First things first: Nothing is going to change for you. You will still be able to pledge at the amount you’ve chosen when you signed up. 🧡

That being said, I recently received an email by the Patreon team giving me some suggestions of how I could restructure my tiers.

Most of it didn’t apply to me, but one thing got me thinking again about something that I have considered before. They suggested I get rid of the $1 tier. Obviously, that’s a bad idea since it’s my only one, but I decided to start the “Pay what you want” thing at a minimum of $2. That’s for future patrons that sign up (again, since you’re already signed up, your pledge will stay the same). The main reason for this is the conversion rate from $ to € and I just think a little over 1 € per month/bundle is a bit more appropriate. And I think by just slightly raising the minimum “entry fee”, I could potentially make Patreon my main source of income moving forward.

I know I’m not offering a ton of rewards compared to some other creators, but the fact that I don’t need to make videos or other stuff I’m not interested in makes it so fun for me and lets me focus solely on making new art. Over the last year and a half I’ve been able to consistently share at least one illustration per month, sometimes even three. And that’s all thanks to your amazing support and generosity. 🧡

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.
