I watched PBS because it had Barney and Bob Ross and I was poor. Disney Channel had free weekends and that's when I got to watch Under The Umberella Tree. Cartoon Network was on Cable - Rich kids had cable. Nickelodeon was on cable - rich kid shit. I watched the WB. Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, Batman, Freekazoid. Or Fox Kids which had Pokémon and other after school cartoons.

Ok I got triggered by the cartoon talk bc I loved cartoon network growing up. And I'm sorry, nickelodeon was edgy in ways but you were cool as hell if you came home and watched all the anime that was on cartoon network, THEN you had gross stuff like courage the cowardly dog and bad ass fight scenes from Samauri Jack and then there's adult swim if your parents were neglectful enough to let you stay up late 👀

I've found that if I'm going to be late and I can do so safely, I call/text/email with a heads up. It makes a huge difference to be courteous instead of just showing up late.

I also want to add about trees. They are so much more complex. I recently read a book about how trees communicate with each other. Especially when they are threatened, they will warn trees around them of like harmful insects so the other trees can prepare. Trees also work together to keep each other alive by sharing resources. It’s wild stuff!

I'm ready for "the one about cartoons." By the time I got to high school we had nick, disney, cartoon network and of course PBS. I thoroughly enjoyed programming on all 4. Those 4, Logo, BET, and MTV were in constant rotation for me. FUN FACT: I pay for PBS streaming service now 🤓

As someone who has worn glasses since I was 6 when I see people wearing fake regular glasses as a fashion statement I normally want to beat their asses. But I love Bob and Monet so I give them a pass. Also since I wear glasses I can't be getting into any fights because they might break and glass shards could get in my eye. So when I say beat their asses I mean metaphorically not literally.
